Kathleen Booth

Kathleen Booth, born July 9, 1922, is one of the greatest computer scientists of all time. She graduated college with a BSc in Mathematics and a PhD in Applied Mathematics. She wrote the very first assembly language, a programming language that speaks to a computer directly. She is also known for inventing 3 machines: the ARC, SEC, and APE(X)C. Booth's research on neural networks led to successful programs simulating ways in which animals recognise patterns and characters. She passed away on September 29th, 2022.
